In the High-weight Handicap Rout had a lead of seven or Light lengths from Last Effort and Ascot Blend at the end ot half a mile. Fairy Bard moved into second place coming to the home turn. Once in the straight Fairy Bard overhauled the leader and won by two lengths from Lost Art, who beat Rout by a head. Royal Writ and Paladeo were next. Gambado and Receptive got away slowly in the Trial Plate. Cornucopia and Lord Roland were smartest out and led along the back from Mazamarch and Fluorescent. Sphere joined the leaders coming round the top and turned for home with Lord Roland and Cornucopia. Lord Roland drew out and won by a length and ahalf from Cornucopia, who beat Fluorescent by a length. Sphere was fourth, with Receptive and Silver Stream next. In the Waimate Cup Good Cast led down the back from The Raker, with the others close up. Grand Forest hung out coming round the top. Good Cast led into the straight and won by a neck from Night Pal, who beat Grand Forest by half a length. Rawhamai was a head away fourth. Dominator broke up at the start of the Morven Trot. Trusty Bill led past the stand from Tara’s Hall, Dunamis, and Justify. True Potts led to the far turn and turned into the straight with Tara’s Hall, who came on and won by half a length from True Potts, who beat Dunamis by four lengths. Listen In led into the straight and finally won by a length and a-half from Monetary, who beat Wise Girl by half a length. Sing Sing was a length and a-half away fourth. In the Hook Trot Peter Dale led the way to Kerrwood Bingen, Betty Bond, True Potts, and Frisky Bill. Peter Dale led Betty Bond at the far turn. Kerrwood Bingen was breaking up. Peter Dale opened up a good lead and finally won by 10 lengths from Kerrwood Bingen, who beat True Potts by a neck. Sally Dale was a length and a-half away, and Great Show next.

In the Farewell Hack Handicap Divorced. Joy Rosa, Olga's Choice, and Fluorescent led out of the straight, with Honest Sal tailed off. Olga's Choice then took charge from Joy Rosa. Fluorescent, and Divorced. Divorced led into the straight and won by two lengths from Joy Rosa. Honest Sal was a length away, and Big Top next.
