ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

ANNUAL MEETING OF BRIGADE

District Superintendent Rev. W. G. Hannah presided at the annual meeting of the Ambulance and Nursing Divisions oi the St. John Ambulance Brigade on Thursday night. The annual reports and balance sheets were adopted. Lady Superintendent Miss M. H. Marwick expressed appreciation of the work of the members of the Nursing Division, and of the activities of members who assisted in many other ways, as well as with other organisations doing welfare work. Divisional Superintendent W. J. Davies also thanked members of the Ambulance Division, for their loyal support. The Rev. W. G. Hannah stated that the reports showed the divisions to be in a healthy condition.

Mr R. F. Chase was appointed honorary auditor to the Ambulance Division.

The reports disclosed that the motor ambulance had made 289 trips (263 removals and 26 accidents), the total mileage being 3530 miles. About 50 cases had been treated at football matches and other gatherings. After being on active service, Privates Aikenhead and Steven had returned to the ranks, but.there were still three members overseas. The Nursing Division had assisted in raising £358 17s 6d for patriotic funds and in the collections for patriotic parcels and the Victory Loan.
