OAMARU PUBLIC GARDENS

Visitors to Oamaru for Easter (reports our correspondent) will find the greenhouse at the Oamaru Public Gardens looking at its best. There is a particularly bright display of begonias, with individual blooms measuring up to eight inches across, and the gloxinias also provide a fine display. It is doubtful whether there are any other gloxinias in bloom in New Zealand at the present time. With the recent dry weather, the opportunity has been taken to clean up the Gardens generally after the floods.
