LEAVING AMERICA

SISTER KENNY'S INTENTION WORK NOT APPRECIATED NEW YORK, Mar. 21. Sister Kenny, the discoverer of a treatment for infantile paralysis, announced her intention of leaving the United States. She explained she had been ordered by the Minnesota Hospital pedistric staff to discharge four patients suffering from muscular disorders other than infantile paralysis. Sister Kenny said she admitted them as her treatment was also valuable for other neuro-muscular disorders. “ Since I have been forbidden to do this, and as my work is now known in its entirety, my presence is no longer necessary. I am leaving the United States permanently because it does not let the world know the value of my work. I do not mean the good people of the United States, but the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis and the American Medical Association. These are willing to accept but not acknowledge a gift from an alien.”
