CURRENT PROGRAMMES
State Theatre. Anna Ncagle ancl Richard Greene appear with the English comedian Cyril Fletcher in the mystery comedy film, “ Yellow Canary." Octagon Theatre.—Jennifer Jones takes the principal role in Twentieth CenturyFox's immortal story of a girl’s faith, “ The Song of Bernadette.” Empire Theatre.—“ The Halfway House,” starring the famous French actress Francoise Rosay, with Tom Walls, Mervyn Johns, Glynis Johns, and Alfred Drayten.
Strand Theatre.—“ Gambler’s Choice,” featuring Chester Morris, Nancy Kelly, and Russell Hayden: and "Career Girl.” with the popular radio star Francis Langford.
Regent Theatre.—Spencer Tracy and Irene Dunne have the leading roles in the stirring drama of the air, "A Guy Named Joe."
St. James Theatre. Robert Taylor, George Sanders, and Norma Shearer are starred in “Her Cardboard Lover”; and Bob Montgomery is shown in “ Busman’s Honeymoon.” Grand Theatre.—“ Ever Since Venus,” starring Hugh Herbert, Glenda Farrell, and Billy Gilbert; and “ They Live in Fear.” with Otto Kruger, Clifford Severn, and Pat Parrish.
Mayfair Theatre. —Pat O’Brien, Randolph Scott, and Anne Shirley take the leading roles in'the drama of the air, " Bombardier ”; and Will Hay and Claude Hulbert are featured in the hilarious comedy, “ My Learned Friend.”
