OLD BOYS' CLUB

The annual meeting of the Old Boys’ Football Club was held on Wednesday night, Mr J. W. Kinder (president) being in the chair. The annual report and balance sheet, showing a small credit balance on the year's working, were adopted. Mr Kinder stated he had been away for most of the past season, but lie had been impressed with the enthusiasm displayed by the players under very difficult 1 conditions. The coach had also done very good work. The following office-bearers were elected:—Patron, Mr J. T. Burrows (rector of Waitaki Boys’ High School); president, Mr H. G. Daniel; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. E. Thomson; auditor, Mr J. Jlendy;’ club captain, Mr R. Farrant; coaches. Messrs T. Carter and R. Twaddle; delegates to North Otago Rugby Union—Messrs 11. G. Daniel. R. Farrant, J. Ifendy, and T. Carter; committee—Messrs J. M. Gardiner, S. Lindsay, W. McMullan. D. Farrant, B. A. Malcolm, G. McVie, W. Clare, and J. M. Hendy; trustees, Messrs J. M. Hendy and H. G. Daniel. Eighteen vicepresidents were also elected. Fourteen new members were elected.

It was agreed to write thanking the Oamaru Miniature Rifle Club for making its range available as a elubroom.

The delegates to the North Otago Rugby Union were Instructed to urge that the union should hold an open competition in the coming season, so that no player would be debarred from playing.
