Charges of Theft
Raymond Noble Swaney, aged 19, a member of the R.N.Z.A.F. Station, North Taiei'i, was charged with the theft of £2 10s in money, a money order to the value of £3 ss, and a leather wallet, a total value of £6 15s, the property of Francis William Minnett.—On the application of Detective Sergeant H. Le Sueur a remand of one week was granted. Alleged Desertion
Arthur George Woods and Alexander William Mills, both aged 17, appeared on a charge of alleged desertion from an overseas vessel at Wellington—Senior Sergeant A. Johnston stated that the two youths had arrived in Dunedin on Tuesday and he asked that a remand be granted until warrants were obtained from Wellington.—Both the accused were remanded until to-morrow.
