SHELTER AT STOCK EXCHANGE

CITY COUNCIL’S DECISION

A shelter, with seating accommodation for 21 persons, is to be erected at the Stock Exchange. This announcement was made yesterday by Cr J. McCrae, chairman of the Transport Committee of the City Council, who added that the erection of the building would have been proceeded with some time ago. but there had been a little delay in getting permission from the Government because of priority accorded other building work. The new building will be erected in brick, and will be fitted with a telephone room for the use of the city transport inspectors. A clock will be installed in the front of the building.
