TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS Owing to the acute coal shortage it is impossible, at this juncture, to provide any additional express or long distance passenger trains during the Easter period. The present restricted time table will operate, with the following alterations and additions: — THURSDAY. MARCH 29 DUNEDIN-PALMERSTON Additional train leaves Dunedin 6.49 p.m., Purakanui 7.24, Waitati 7.44, Seacliff 8.19. Waikouaiti 8.47, arrives Palmerston 9.13 p.m. Stops if required at Ravensbourne, St. Leonards, and Sawyers’ Bay to pick up passengers for north of Port Chalmers Upper only, and after leaving Sawyers’ Bay stops at all stations for passengers also, if required, at Cliffs and Michies Crossing to set down passengers. DUNEDIN-BALCLUTHA: ROXBURGH AND TAHAKOPA BRANCHES The 10.29 a.m. Mosgiel-Dunedin train will NOT run. Train leaves Balclutha 7.50 a.m., Stirling 7.58, Lovell’s Flat 8.17, Milton 8.43, Allanton 9.35. Mosgiel 9.51, Wingatui 9.56, arrives Dunedin 10.20 a.m. Stops where required for passenger traffic. Return train leaves Dunedin 4.48 p.m., Mosgiel 5.25. Balclutha 7.42. Clinton arrive 9.17 p.m. Stops where required for passenger traffic and connects at Milton with train for Roxburgh and at Balclutha with train for Tahakopa. Passengers for Milton, Balclutha, Roxburgh, and Tahakopa branch will not be booked by the through express due to leave Dunedin at 4.40 p.m. GOOD FRIDAY.
