CITY FIRE CALLS
Units from the South Dunedin and the Central Fire Stations attended an outbreak of fire at 10.35 p.m. yesterday at Jensen’s Tallow Works, Green Island, where damage was caused to the eastern portion of the building. By using three leads of hose, the brigades were able to prevent the flames from spreading to the main portion of the building.
Calls to chimney fires. were answered yesterday at 7.21 p.m. to Cumberland street and at 8.35 p.m. to Walmea avenue.
