FAIR AND MILD Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone i« centred over the North Island, and a depression is passing to the south of the Dominion. \ Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mode-rate to fresh north-easterly to northerly winds predominating; weather fair, apart from some scattered showers in the south; temperatures moderate. Further Outlook. —Changeable westerly conditions. Weather in Dunedin.—Bright, sunny conditions prevailed in Dunedin yesterday, and there was a light air from the northeast. Tlie barometer fell steadily, the reading at midnight being 29.94 inches (1014 millibars).
