OYSTER DELICACIES
New Zealand’s Oyster supply is worldfamous and New Zealanders are fortunate in having an abundant supply of this valuable shellfish. New Zealand women can serve Oyster Delicacies that would not only be costly to buy, but are much better served straight after they are made. For instance: OYSTER FINGERS: Jib Fether-Flake rolled to J-inch thickness. Cut in small strips and Bake. When cooked, split and fill with following mixture—loz flour, loz butter, J-pint milk, J teaspoon lemon juice, salt and pepper. Make sauce with above ingredients. Beard 1J doz. oysters, chop and add to sauce (do not boil). Other Oyster specialties will suggest themselves. Fet’her-Flake is perfect puff pastry ready to bake.
