Dunedin North. —The Rev. Ewen Dixon .spoke on the great responsibility a parent had in the bringing up of a family, and also on the ideal of making the home the centre of family life. Mrs Sparrow sang two delightful songs. The thought brought by Mrs Gray was “ Better to creep slowly on the right road than to march quickly on the wrong." Maori Hill.—Mrs F. W. Robinson presided. and entertained members with a talk on “ Gossip,” of which, she said, there were different kinds. She advised them to create a desire for the helpful and friendly type of gossip. Items by the Glee Circle and a solo by Mrs Bosworth were much appreciated. The speaker was the Rev. Ewen Dixon, who based his remarks on the aims and objects of the League of Mothers.
