OBITUARY
MRS J. WADDELL SMITH
The death occurred at her home at Anderson’s Bay on Saturday of Mrs J. Waddell Smith, widow of Mr J. Waddell Smith, who was for many years headmaster of the High Street School. Mrs Smith, who was in her eightieth year, was a daughter of the late Mr J. W. Jago, one of the founders of the Moray Place Congregational Church. Throughout her life she was an ardent worker for this church and supported all its activities. For some years she was a member of the choir. She was also a life member and past secretary of the Dunedin Free Kindergarten Association. She was a former member of the St. Clair Ladies’ Golf Club.
