HIGH COMMISSIONER’S VISIT

(Rec. 9.30 p.m.) LONDON, Mar. 17. At the invitation of General Freyberg, the High Commissioner (Mr W. J. Jordan) left London by air this week on a visit of inspection to the 2nd N.Z.E.F. in Egypt and Italy. He was accompanied by Major-general H. K. Kippenberger, who will be seeing the New Zealand Division for the first time since he was wounded at Cassino last year. A previous visit to the New Zealanders in the Middle East was paid by Mr Jordan just before the November, 1941, advance into Libya.
