Advice has been received from the Admiralty that the King has approved of the following awards: — Mention in Despatches Temporary-lieutenant Gordon Ellis Bisson, for good services during the invasion of Europe; father, Mr C. H. Bisson, Napier. Temporary-lieutenant John Geddes Watson, for good services in the Normandy assault area; father, Mr J. P. Watson, Auckland. Officer of the British Empire (Military Division)
Temporary-lieutenant Ralph Burton Goodwin. This appointment is made in connection with Lieutenant Goodwin’s untiring devotion to duty. His mother is Mrs E. E. Goodwin, Auckland.
