BERNEY.—On March 16, 1945, at his residence, Springhill road, Upper Hutt, Charles Hook, beloved husband of the late Evelyn Berney, and eldest son of the late Capt. G. R. B. B. and Laura Rosina Berney, “ Lakeview,” Catlins.

FEENEY—On March 18, 1945, at Dunedin, Mary Feeney, of 1 Brent street, Maori Hill, daughter of the late Michael and Mary Feeney. R.l.P.—Requiem Mass at the Holy Name Church, King street, To-morrow (Tuesday), at 9 a.m.—Private interment.—Hugh Gourley, Ltd., funeral directors.

KING—On March 17, 1945, at Palmerston, Valmai Mae, dearly loved daughter of Margaret and John King, of Sawyers’ Bay, and loved sister of Eileen and Vernon (overseas); in her twenty-eighth year.
