FAIR TO CLOUDY Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p'.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone covers the north Tasman Sea and the North Island, and a trough is approaching Southland from the west. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Moder-ate northerly winds, freshening gradu-. ally; weather fair to cloudy; temperatures cool. Further Outlook.—South-westerly change with showers to-night. Weather in Dunediii.—Although the sky remained heavily overcast throughout the day, conditions in Dunedin yesterday were mild and pleasant, there being an almost complete absence of wind. A few light showers fell during the latter part of the day. The barometer showed a slight rising tendency, the reading at midnight being 29.76 inches (1008 millibars).
