SHEARING PERFORMANCES

Sir, —There has been brought to my notice in the form of a newspaper cutting a very creditable performance put up by three shearers with the blades, on Mr Bray’s property in the Mount Stoker district. This performance, I see, was done in Bhr 40min. We have six shearers and one learner on the board at this station and their tally for to-day was 1028 sheep In Bhr. The three top men, namely, P. P. Blair, H. England, and S. Ross, did 193, 182, and 174 respectively. The sheep shorn were full-woolled Romney and half bred hoggets. In my opinion these sheep were not of the best shearing which mak's for a first-class performance.—l am, etc., J. 11. Kennelly,' Woolclasser. Beaumont Station, Miller’s Flat. January 4.
