King’s School, in Canterbury, England, is fortunate in its old boys, states a London journal. 'lt has recently received from two of them handsome gifts—one of £IO,OOO from Mr Somerset Maugham, the author, for the purpose of establishing scholarships; the
other, £3500 to establish leaving exhibitions for boys who intend to be medical students.
