NEW OFFENSIVE
RUSSIAN PREPARATIONS LONDON, Jan. 4. Moscow radio announced that the Red Army will soon be launching the greatest offensive of the war. The radio said: “ A new Russian winter campaign, on a larger scale than any previous ones, is imminent. It will exceed all earlier drives in power and impetus.” After a visit to the Warsaw front the United Press Moscow correspondent reports that several mighty Russian and Polish armies are poised at Praga, on the ice-covered Vistula, for a decisive winter offensive.
