AMERICA’S WAR LOAN
SUCCESS OF BOND DRIVE (Rec. 11 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Jan. 5. The Secretary of the Treasury, MiHenry Morgenthau, announced that the sales during the record-breaking sixth war loan bond drive totalled 21.621.000.000 dollars, which is 1.000.000.000 dollars more than the previous record, established by the fifth war loan last summer. The sixth war loan quota was 14.000.000.000 dollars. Bond sales to individuals amounted to almost 6.000,000.000 dollars.
