DRAFTING OF FARM WORKERS NEW YORK, Jan. 4. The Washington correspondent of the New York Times says that Majorgeneral Hershey acceded to the request of the War Mobilisation Director, Mr J T Byrnes, on behalf of President Roosevelt, to draft farm workers. State draft directors have been instructed to re-examine all deferred farm workers from 18 to 25. This will affect 364,000 men. Mr Byrnes said that arrav and navy demands for men would exhaust eligibles in the 18 to 25 group at an early date.
