. Colonel R. Rignold, field secretary of the Salvation Army in New Zealand, is visiting Dunedin. Advice has been received by Mr and Mrs C. O. Flamank, of Dalmore, that their eldest son, Flight Sergeant Ron. Flamank, has received his commission in England, and is attached to an R.N.Z.A.F. bomber squadron.

Passengers who left for the north by the airliner yesterday were Mr C. Read, Mrs W. Chapman, Mr and Mrs G. Brophy, Mr W. Chapman, Mrs M. Collett, and Miss E. Williams for Wellington, Mr G. Williamson and Mr A. Moody for Auckland. Passengers who arrived by the afternoon plane were Mr and Mrs E. Rodewald from Christchurch. Passengers who left for Invercargill were Mrs A. Dyson, Mrs G.
