ENGLAND AND WALES
MAP MAY BE REDRAWN RUGBY, Jan. 3.
A Boundary Commission which may redraw the map of England and Wales is proposed in a White Paper on local government during the period of reconstruction issued by the Ministry of Health to-day. The task of the commission would he to examine all local authorities’ areas and see whether their boundaries would be suited to modern conditions and needs. The needs of the post-war period, it is thought, can be met by adaption within the existing framework and by co-operation between the authorities.
