TOUR OF DOMINION

VISITING CANADIAN OFFICIAL (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 4. <• We have heard so much about New Zealand that we could not go back to Canada without having paid this country a visit, said the Canadian Hign Commissioner to Australia, Mr Justice Davis when he arrived from Sydney to-day by flying boat, accompanied by Mrs Davis. He will spend about three weeks on a tour of the Dominion. Mr Justice Davis said his visit wa.-, an unofficial one, and he and his wife intended to see as much of the country as possible They will leave for Rotorua to-morrow, and after a short stay will travel to Wellington through Hawke’s Bav. In Wellington they will be the guests of the Canadian High Commissioner to New Zealand, Dr W. A. Riddell, and Mrs Riddell. They will later visit the South Island, and will spend several days in the Auckland district before returning to Australia. The visitors were met at the airways base by the Canadian Trade Commissioner, Mr C. B. Birkett.
