The request was referred to the Transport Committee of the chamber for investigatton. . Further information regarding an air service from Melbourne to the southern part of New Zealand was received from the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce. The Dunedin chamber is taking an active interest in this mattei and all movements are being closely watched.

It was decided that the appointment of additional members required for the executive of the Associated Chambers be left in the hands of the executive in Wellington.

A circular letter was received from the Bureau of Importers regarding agents’ commissions on purchases from overseas. With reference to a request from the bureau that payments of commissions be retrospective it was noted with pleasure that the Commissioner of Supply would reconsider any disputed settlement if a request for reconsideration were forwarded.
