SHOWERY AND COOLER Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m., yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation.—A depression in the South Tasman Sea is moving southeastward. ' . : Forecast to b p.m. To-day.—Mode-rate to strong northerly winds, changing to south-westerly;, weather fair to cloudy and mild at first, but showers and cooler temperatures accompanying the wind change. • , Further Outlook.—Temporarily fair. . Weather in Dunedin.—Changeable conditions prevailed yesterday morning and in the afternoon a severe thunderstorm, ' accompanied by heavy tain, wits experienced. There was a similar storm in , the early evening. Throughout the greater part of ; the day there was a strong breeze from the north-east.
