*»■—— '• , MR W. GRAEME-HOLDER (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 21. The' death of Mr W. Graeme-Holder, one of New Zealand’s outstanding radio playwrights, occurred in Wellington yesterday at the age of 54 years. Mr Graeme-Holder first came into prominence in 1937 by winning the first prize in the radio play coinpetition originated in that year by the National Broadcasting Service. The play was called “The Time Factor,” and proved so successful.’.thatji^ihas been reproduced by the'BritislHßraadcasting Corporation,. aricl 'more', recently by- the South African-Radio Corporation, which presented it both in--English and Afrikaans. Mr Graeme-Holder was also a capable character actor in radio plays, and waS the author of several novels. He leaves a widow, a daughter, and a son, who holds a commission in the Royal Navy, and is at present overseas.
