DAILY INTERCESSION

Hear us, Father, as in faith we pray for our sorely-tried kinsfolk in the Motherland. We. thank Thee for their steadfast courage through long years of testing, and for that resolution' by which they prepared themselves for the day when their forces could enter on the hard and perilous conflict that alone could lead to victory. Give Thy divine help and comfort to the many whose loved ones have been stricken down .as they went about their, daily occupations, to the many who have been sorely injured, and must all their days bear upon them the marks of suffering, and to the many who have lost their homes and their material possessions. May the hard- ' ships they have undergone bring them {o a deeper experience of Thyself, and of those spiritual possessions which nothing can ever take away. Amen.
