SUDDEN DEATH

When Mr James Murcott, of Hampden, did not return home from cutting manuka in the hills three miles from Hampden on Thursday night, a search was made for him, but it was not until 6.35 on Friday morning that his body was found in the scrub. It appeared that Mr Murcott had collapsed and passed away while engaged in cutting manuka. It is understood that an inquest will not be necessary, Mr Murcott having lately been attended to by Dr Thomas, of Palmerston.
