DAILY INTERCESSION

O God, Thou hast said, “Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and Thou shalt glorify me." Renew that promise in its living power to the hearts of the troubled and anxious to-day. We thank Thee that Thou dost make the words of Thy revealing, given to men of old, Thine own message to the hearts of men today. Thou, art a God near at hand, and not afar off. Thy compassions fail not, and Thy faithfulness is to all generations. We thank Thee that, as sorrow and loss, and the burden of long anxieties bring rich and poor, high and low, together in a common need, so the healing knowledge of Thy comfort and a new sense of Thy goodness in the promise of life that is in Christ may bring them together in a truer brotherhood of gratitude and service. Amen.
