DAILY INTERCESSION

We pray to Thee, O God, for all who in so many ways strengthen the hands of those who fight our battles. May Thy protecting : care? be obqut those who man our ships and ' guard night and day the waterways of the world. Be with ■ all who minister to the health and comfort of our troops. Give to our doctors and nurses, with their skill of hand , sympathy of heart and the fineness of understanding that brings new life to the suffering. Give wisdom and understanding to all chaplains and to all helpers in the, social institutions with the forces that they may bring cheer to the living,, and when danger deepens comfort to the dying. We bless Thee for the tireless devotion of workers of so many kinds in the common cause, and pray that their work may result in ever richer usefulness. Amen. • ’•
