WEDDING
News has been received by Mrs F. Irvine, of Caversham, of the marriage of her son, Flying Officer W. M. C. Irvine (Bill) to Lorraine, only daughter of Mr and Mrs J. H. Whittingham, of Hanwelt, England, at the Church of St. Anthonv of Padua, Upton. The bride, who was escorted by Mr J. Irvine, uncle of the bridegroom, wore a fawn and brown ensemble. After the reception Flying Officer and Mrs Irvine left for Kent, where their honeymoon was spent’. They hope after the war to make their home in New Zealand. Flying Officer Irvine was on the clerical staff of the New Zealand railways prior to enlisting in the R.N.Z.A.F. At present he is attached to a Mosquito squadron in England.
