DRAINAGE BOARD
APPOINTMENT -OF COMMITTEES A special meeting of the newlyappointed Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board was held last night. The Mayor (Mr D. C. Cameron) occupied the chair, and there were also present Messrs R. Wails, P. G. Connolly, M.P., J. McCrae, M. F. H. Blain, L. J. Ireland, R. F. Barr, L. M. Wright, W. B. Taverner, W. A. Hudson, P. J. B. Rendel and A. H. Finnie. The chairman welcomed the two new .representatives from the St. Kilda Borough Council, Messrs Rendel and Finnie. The chairman submitted nominations for the standing committees and these were approved as follows: Works Committee. —Messrs Ireland (chairman), Walls, McCrae, Blain, Barr, Taverner, Hudson, and Finnie. Finance Committee.—Messrs Taverner (chairman), Walls, Connolly, Ireland, Barr, Wright, and Rendel.
