DOMINION BREWERIES, LTD.
(Special) AUCKLAND, June 19. The accounts of Dominion Breweries, Ltd., for the year ended March 31, show a net profit of £44,405 compared with £38,479 for the previous year and £25,J72 in 1942. With the balance brought forward. £17,248, there is a- total of £61,653,. The interim dividend paid in December amounted to £14,000, leaving for appropriation £47,653, and the directors recommend a final dividend of 5 per cent, on all the shares, making 9 per cent, for the vear (last year 8 per cent.). This requires 1 £17;500, leaving £30,153 to be carried forward. The profit is struck after making provision for land, income and Social Security taxes and depreciation (including obsolete brewery plant). The gross profit was £381,697, compared with £363,405 in the previous year. The taxes total £228,249, compared with £167,236.
