WOUNDED FROM FRANCE
BY AIR TO AMERICA (Rec. 10 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 19. Thousands of invasion wounded sodliers will soon arrive in New York by the army’s Air Transport Command carrying casualties across the Atlantic in less than 24 hours, says the New York Herald-Tribune. Since the army began clearing foreign hospitals’ on April 1 preparatory to the invasion more than 2000 casualties have been flown to New York alone.
