H. Stevenson, of Alton avenue, Musselburgh Rise. Dean Cruickshank officiated, and Dr Galway was the organist. Small Union Jacks and Dutch flags were used to indicate the pews reserved for the guests, who numbered about 140. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a lovely gown of ivory velvet made with a long-waisted bodice, from which the skirt hung in full gathers. Her veil was of old Brussels lace. She carried a bouquet of cream cyclamen and freesias. She was attended by three bridesmaids—her sister. Miss Yvonne Stevenson, and the Misses Judith Gallaway and Mary Redgrace. They made an attractive trio, one in hyacinth blue and the other two in fuchsia velvet frocks, made on similar lines to the bride’s. They wore Dutch caps of White lace, and carried bouquets of pink cyclamen and freesias. The best man was Mr Alan MacKenzie Douglas, of Masterton, and the groomsmen were Messrs .Gerritt Van Asch, of Christchurch, and Peter Kidd, of Auckland . The ushers were Messrs Bruce Craig, Arthur Howison, Rayney Jack, and Graham Tait. • A reception was held later at the bride’s home, where the guests were received by Mr and Mrs Stevenson. Mrs Stevenson wore a blue and fuchsia ensemble, with fox furs, and a spray of pink and fuchsia flowers. ' For going away the bride wore a powder blue wool georgette two-piece ensemble, with tan coat and tan accessories.
