MAYOR OF ROME
APPOINTMENT WELCOMED LONDON, June 15. Prince Filippo Doria-Palphili has been appointed Mayor of Rome. The Times Rome correspondent comments that no better person could have been found for the post. Prince DoriaPalphili is a man of independent character and great public spirit. He is head of one of the great aristocratic Roman .families. He suffered both material and moral persecution under the Fascists because he declined to join the parly.
