HIGH PRICES FOR JERSEY STOCK
The high range of prices established last year at Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. Ltd.’s, annual series of stud Jersey sales was more than maintained at the recent sales held by the firm. This year 26 lots sold at prices from 200gns to 500gns, which is a record. Victorian and South Australian breeders were present, and many orders on behalf of Australian breeders were also filled by the firm, these being on behalf of New South Wales and South Australian studmasters. New Zealand breeders were, however, in great force, and offered the strongest competition.
