LANCASHIRE AND YORKSHIRE SOCIETY
The Lancashire and Yorkshire Society held its usual monthly social on Saturday. The president (Mrs J. H. Brighting) was in the chair, and there was a good attendance. Mr Sykes gave an interesting talk on Yorkshire, and the rest of the evening was spent in community singing and games, interspersed with the following iterns: —Songs, Miss Blanche Errington and Miss Crawford trio of steel guitars, Mrs Gault, Miss Crawford and Miss McCrorie; Lancashire reading, Mr W. Longworth.
