GERMANS TAKE EXECUTIVE POWER LONDON, June 11.
The Germans have resumed executive power over a vast area in Central France, including the department in which Vichy is situated, stated Vichy radio. The departments affected are Allier, Cantal, Haute-Loire, and Puy-de-Dome. The reason for the action is stated to be the safeguarding of the German Army. Vichy radio on Friday warned that traffic must keep off the roads in Allier, Haute-Loire, and Puy-de-Dome, except doctors’ and food lorries. The radio issued a proclamation thaGall other motorists would be shot on sight.
