NAVY LEAGUE NOTES
The Women’s Committee of the Navy League wishes to take this opportunity of thanking all who helped' in making a success of the Navv League exhibit at the Winter Show: those who knitted the garments which were on view, the donor of the dolls and those members who were on duty
at various times, including the Girls’ Auxiliary. Special thanks are due to the members of the spinning room for their valuable contribution of time, energy and skill. Judged by the crowd which watched them, they were a'big asset towards the success of the exhibit. Members and friends are reminded that the annual meeting will be held on June 27. Before then, nominations should be sent in, not only for the Women’s Committee. but for the Executive Committee. There have been many calls on our comforts, and new knitters are always needed and welcomed. There is wool in hand, and if everyone who realises what is owed to our men of the Royal Navy and Merchant Marine would knit one garment (pullover, pair of socks or gloves, scarf or balaclava) during the next month, such an effort would help to replenish the stock, which at’ present is low.
