HUME STEEL DIVIDEND
(PA) WELLINGTON, June 12. Hume Steel, Ltd., has declared an interim dividend on the preference shares of 32 per cent.
Scott Bros., produce merchants and com'mission agents, registered egg and onion merchants, report :—Eggs: Pay out values for week ended June 9 will be heavy 3s Id. standard 2s lid, medium 2s 9d, pullets 2s 4d. Butter: We are licensed to handle consignments; value to Is Id per lb. Poultry: Light condition, 2s 3d to 3s each; medium condition hens, 3s 6d to 4s each; heavy breeds, 5s to 6s each: geese, 4s to 5s each; turkeys, Is to Is 3d per lb, live weight; ducks, 3s 9d to 4s bd each. Potatoes, price order 196 operates as from March 1. fixing values at £8 5s for King Edward and £7 15s, f.0.b., s.i„ for Whites. Whole fowl wheat, 24s per sack. Chaff, prime'oaten sheaf, £7 15s per ton, ex truck, bags extra. Whole maize: Limited supplies available. Oyster grit, 6s 6d per 1001 b bag. Straw: Wheaten, 3s per bale: oaten, 3s 3d per bale,‘ex store. Canterbury Onions 15s 6d per cwt. Lucerne meal, 12s 6d per sack. We stock meatmeals, chickfoods, oyster grit, culmings for stock. Oat dust, 5s Gd per sack. We have a limited supply of barley dust. All eggs graded to regulation. Payments weekly.—June 12, 1944.
