DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE On the Dunedin Stock Exchange yesterday there were buyers of National Insurance shares at £1 4s 8d and sellers at £1 ss. New Zealand Insurances were sought at £4 8s 6d, but sellers did not quote below £4 9s 3d. Buyers of Standard Insurances offered £4 and sellers quoted £4 Is 6d. Gear Meats were quoted at £1 5s 6d with sellers Is away, and New Zealand Refrigerating (paid) were quoted at £1 8s 4d (buyer) and £1 9s (seller). The contributing issue was sought at 13s 9d. Buyers offered £6 10s for South Otago Freezing and £6 17s 6d for Waitaki Freezing. New Zealand Breweries were quoted at £2 2s 9d and £2 3s, buyer and seller respectively. A buyer offered £3 5s 6d for Donaghy’s Rope but sellers did not quote below £3 10s. There were buyers of Milburn Lime at £1 IBs, McKenzies Stores at £2 19s, and National Electrical at £1 12s 6d. Whitcombe and Tombs shares were quoted at £5 12s 6d and £5 17s 6d, Woolworths (Sydney) at 19s lid and £1 Os 6d, and Mount Lyells at £1 12s 3d and £1 13s, buyers and sellers respectively.
