CENTRAL OTAGO HOTELS
TWO TRANSFERS APPROVED Applications for the’approval of the transfer of two hotels in Central Otago were granted by the Otago Land Sales Committee at its sitting yesterday. In one case approval was given subject to a reduction of £9OO in the capital consideration. David Provan applied for approval of the transfer of the title of the Bendigo Hotel, Alexandra, to John Gregory Burgoyne for a consideration of £10,500 (land and buildings £5500, licence £5000). After deliberation, the committee gave its approval to the sale subject to the condition that the price be adjusted to £4600 for land and buildings. The sum of £SOOO for the licence was not altered. The transfer of the White Star Hotel. Queenstown, from the Mount Cook and Southern Lakes Tourist Company, Ltd.. to James Earl Horne and Elizabeth Jane Horne was also approved, the price being £7150 (land and buildings £6150, goodwill £1000).
