A motion of sympathy with Mrs Paterson and family in the death of the Rev. Dr T. Paterson was passed by the Oamaru Harbour Board yesterday. Mr T: J. Guthrie, secretary ol the Oamaru Harbour Board, has been granted sick leave for six months. Mr Guthrie i.to have some months of convalescent leave prior to entering the Plastic Surgical Unit of the Burwood Hospital, Christchurch, for operations on account' of wounds received in the first World War. Approval of the inspector of mines and quarries. Dunedin, having been received, Mr J. H. Bryant, Tyne street, Oamaru. has been appointed quarry foreman of the Oamaru Harbour Board’s breakwater quarry.
