SNOW IN WESTERN DESERT
LONDON, Feb. 7. Snow has fallen in the Western Desert for the first time since the outbreak of the war. and probably for the first time in recorded history, says the Cairo correspondent of the British United Press. South African airmen woke up on a recent morning to find an inch of snow spread over the countryside, forcing the cancellation of air operations.
