Gillespie’s Beach Dredge.—The wash-up for the week ended on Saturday was 41oz 3dwt from 15,840 yards treated in 127 hours.
Ngahere Dredge.—The return for the fortnight ended on Friday last was 3210 z from 94,569 yards worked in 250 hours. Associated Gold Dredges.—The return for the week ended on Saturday was 15910 z from 87,756 yards in 357 hours.
Scott Bros., produce merchants and commission agents, registered egg and onion merchants, report:—Eggs: Pay-out value for consignments received to February 4 will be—Heavy 2s, standard Is lOd. medium Is 9d. Butter: We are licensed to handle consignments: value to Is Id per lb, sales slow. Poultry: Hens 3s to 4s, heavy breeds 4s 6d to 5s each, goslings 6s to 7s each. Turkeys Is 5d to Is 7d per lb, live weight. Ducks 3s to 3s 9d each. Potatoes: Oamaru and Outrams — maximum value £lB ton to farmers; market steady. Whole fowl wheat 22s 6d to 24s per sack. Chaff: Prime oaten sheaf £7 15s per ton, ex truck; £8 10s ex store, bags extra. Whole mazie, to arrive. Oyster grit 6s 6d per 1001 b bag. Straw: Wheaten 3s per bale, oaten 3s 3d per bale, ex store. Canterbury and North Island onions, to arrive this week. Lucerne meal 12s 6d sack. Ground oats 17s bd per 2001 b bag. for pigs and poultry. We stock meatmeals, chickfoods, oyster gru.
