PRESS DELEGATION

ENTERTAINED BY POLISH MINISTER (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 7. Deep appreciation to the New Zealand Government and people for the many proofs of sympathy, friendship, and assistance extended to Poland was expressed by Professor Kot, Polish Minister of Information, when he entertained at a dinner in London on February 2 the visiting New Zealand press delegation, states a report issued by the Polish Agency Telegraph. The High Commissioner. Mr W. J. Jordan, replying, stressed that Poland could rely on the sympathy and help of New Zealand.

Mr W. A. Whitlock, replying on behalf of the delegation, emphasised the friendship between New Zealand and Poland. Founded on the field of battle, he said, this friendship was uniting the two nations, although yi a geographical sense they were far apart. He emphasised that the friendship between Poland and New Zealand had become a fact, the permanence of which would long outlast this war.
